Staff birthday celebrations can sometimes be hard to arrange. Today, most staff are very valuable and there’s little chance of any company forming around a single occasion. So when planning your Happy Birthday wishes for staff today, you should really consider out of the box. A lot of people say ‘Happy Birthday… but who?’ which is fine. However if you’re looking for a more meaningful birthday gift then maybe it’s time to think outside of the box…
Staff like a good day off. Some may say that you have to be old to enjoy one, but everyone benefits from a day off. You should encourage your staff to take time off for their birthdays. It’s not just a good day off for them, but it’s a day they can remember their staff as a fun, helpful, social group who all get on together.
When you encourage staff to have their special day off you’re also showing them how much you value them. If you make your employees happy and rewarded with something they’ve worked hard for, they’ll think about you more often. Happy birthday wishes come true and you know it because you’ve given it to them. They will think about your company every time they see it shows how special they are to you.
If you’re thinking ‘I can’t’ then think again. There are so many options available. It could be something as simple as a basketful of chocolate kisses for the lucky woman, or a small figurine or set of crystal sweets. It could be a gift certificate for a night in somewhere special, or a night out in the park. Or maybe it’s a set of tickets to a football match or a day at the races. The point is, whatever you think will make the most difference to the day, make it for the lady – it’s a great addition to any birthday wish list.
Of course, another great addition would be a message of support for your staff. They’ll appreciate the fact that you care so much about them, and they’ll love the message and the gesture. And if you have any male staff members who are feeling blue, this can help them too! Let them know they’re being thought of and that you want to do anything you can to make their job a little easier. Happy birthday, my dear employees.
The other thing staff members love is cards and letters of birthday wishes. To encourage them to spend one last day at work with their colleagues, let them know you’re thinking of them on their special day. They’ll treasure the words and the feelings you share, and they’ll know you mean a lot to them. Happy birthday, my dear colleagues.
Remember that there’s nothing worse than receiving sad birthday cards from colleagues who don’t enjoy being a part of your team any more. You may be able to fix that in a few weeks by simply saying a quick “happy birthday” to each one, regardless of whose birthday it is. It can make a difference. So go ahead, and give them the warm birthday wishes they deserve – it will do them a world of good.
A happy birthday is as easy as sending a card, writing a brief message, and sending it off. It doesn’t have to be very elaborate; just a sign that you are thinking of them and a little hello to say thank you. No one will be able to resist writing a warm, personal message for such a simple gesture. Happy birthday, and may your special day be the best day of their life.
