Earlier today, we learned that Sony buys that Sony buys the return declaration developer of housemarks. It’s big big news, but it turns out that studio may not be the only studio that Sony seeks to absorb. Around the time, the announcement of housemarket went to live this morning, PlayStation Japan accidentally fled what seems to be another major acquisition for Sony.

Apparently, Sony also prepares the acquisition of BluePoint games. When it announced the acquisition of housemarks, the PlayStation Japan Twitter account accidentally downloaded a host image of BluePoint games to the PlayStation family. The Tweet was quickly drawn, but not before this image is caught by Nibellion on Twitter.

So it seems that Sony plans to announce an acquisition of BluePoint games shortly. Of course, this announcement can not come today – Sony could wish to spread these acquisition announcements, but since a welcoming image Bluepoint in PlayStation Studios has already been created, the confirmation is probably not far.

A Sony acquisition of Bluepoint Games has a lot of meaning. For more than a decade, Bluepoint has been essentially acted as Sony’s Go-To for Playstation Removations and Remains. Some of the games that the studio is responsible for the inclusion included: the Nathan Drake collection, the precipitation of the remastered gravity, the shadow of remake colossus for PS4 and the remake of Demon’s Souls Remake for Playstation 5 (which was co-developed With Sony’s Japan Studio).

In other words, if Sony announces that it is about buying BluePoint games, it will not be a lot of shock because BluePoint worked with Sony many throughout its history. We will see if this acquisition is confirmed later today or later in the week, so stay at listening for more.
